Nothing. Sending a request is free and needs no account. You pay the mechanic for the work you agree to, directly, at the price they quote you.
No. Trackara never handles payment for repair work. You and the mechanic agree the price, and you pay the mechanic the way you both agree. That keeps it simple: no deposits held by us and no platform fees added to your bill.
Only the one mechanic who accepts your request. Mechanics who are offered it see the vehicle, the problem, your photos and your city and ZIP. They never see your name, phone, email or street address unless they accept, and only one mechanic can accept.
No. Your request is offered to a small group of nearby mechanics at a time, and it is locked the moment one accepts. Your contact details are never sold or shared with anyone else.
Before a mechanic can receive requests, a person at Trackara reviews their business details, their liability insurance (carrier, policy and expiry date) and any credentials they list. If their insurance expires, they stop getting requests automatically. That check is not a guarantee of their work. How we check mechanics.
Trackara does not guarantee the work, because the job is between you and an independent mechanic. Ask your mechanic what warranty they give on parts and labor before you approve the quote, and get it in writing.
If no verified mechanic near you can take it, we tell you by email. Nobody receives your contact details, and you can send a new request any time.
